All athletes that will be joining us for lacrosse this year, must complete an ATHLETIC CLEARANCE packet. Packets can be found in the Athletic Office (top floor of gym), downloaded from “documents” on our Santiago Lacrosse website: http://www.santiagolacrosse.com, or on the SHS website under “Athletics”.

A new Athletic Clearance packet (including a new physical) is required each school year. Only one is required per year regardless of multiple sports.

Completed packets must be turned into the athletic office BEFORE TRYING OUT, PRACTICING, or PARTICIPATING IN ANY SPORT/ACTIVITY at SHS.

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity teams for a great inaugural CIF season for our program. Most of our players did not grow up playing lacrosse, and have only learned to play once they started at Santiago. To see where we’ve come in such a short time, playing schools with seasoned programs fed by club players, only reinforces the outstanding efforts of our players, coaches, Board, and families…and gives us a glimpse into a bright future for our program and lacrosse in the Inland Empire.

While the JV team did post its first loss of the season against Murrieta Mesa on Monday, the Sharks came back strong with a 5-1 victory over El Dorado and a 10-3 win tonight at Northwood to round out the week. This brings the season record to 7-1-0!! Shout out to Abby Frickle who put-up 8 goals for the week, and Riley Borth who scored 6 goals. Way to go Sharks!
